PUBLIC PROSECUTION DEPARTMENT
SR. NO.02 (CASE NO.01-EX/2010) THE COMMISSION WILL HOLD A WRITTEN EXAMINATION TO FILL UP 09 TEMPORARY LIKELY TO BE MADE PERMANENT POSTS OF ADDITIONAL PROSECUTOR GENERAL (BS-19).
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
(i) Ten (10) years practice as an Advocate of the Lahore High Court OR
Eight (08) years practice as an Advocate of the Lahore High Court if holding a
Post Graduate Degree in Law OR
(ii) Fifteen (15) years experience in the prescribed civil service and a Bachelor's
Degree in Law OR
Twelve (12) years experience in the prescribed civil service and a Post Graduate
Degree in Law OR
Barrister-at-Law OR
(iii) Seven (07) years experience as a Deputy Prosecutor General and Bachelor's Degree in
Law OR
(iv) Five (05) years experience as District Public Prosecutor OR
Twelve (12) years experience as a Public Prosecutor.
ELIGIBILITY: Both male and female citizens of Pakistan domiciled in any district of the Province
of the Punjab.
PAY: BS-19 + 75000/- (Special Allowance per month)
PLACE OF POSTING: Anywhere in Punjab.

Important Notes
a) No candidate shall be summoned for Viva Voce and Psychological test unless he has obtained at least 33 percent marks in each individual written paper and 50 percent marks in the aggregate of the written portion of the examination. No candidates shall be considered to have qualified in the examination unless he also obtains at least 50 percent marks in Viva Voce and Psychological tests. Failure in or absence in Viva Voce and Psychological tests shall mean that the candidate has failed to qualify for appointment and his name will not be included in the merit list.
b) Names of candidates who qualify shall be arranged in order of merit according to the
aggregate marks obtained in the examination.
c) In the event of a tie, the order of merit shall be determined in accordance with the highest marks secured in the Psychological/Viva Voce tests, should the marks in the Psychological/Viva Voce test of the candidates who tie, be equal then the order of merit shall be decided in accordance with the highest marks obtained by such candidates in the aggregate of the compulsory subjects. If these are the same, then the elder candidate would be placed above the younger one.
d) Non-Muslim candidates have the option either to attempt Islamic Studies or the same number of questions in a separate section "Ethics".
e) The papers on English and General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies & Islamic Studies will be of
Graduate level.
f) A candidate must obtain 33 percent marks in each of the written papers. A candidate must obtain 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all written papers. (0.50 or more marks will be rounded off). Thereafter qualifying candidates must also secure 50% marks in the interview to be finally successful.
g) The date sheet and place of the examination will be intimated separately to each candidate through admission letter and press.
1. FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION FORM:-
a) All Educational Certificates such as Matric / Inter /B.A. / LL.B /Post Graduate etc.
b) Valid Certificate of Domicile of the candidate in any district of the Punjab Province issued by District Magistrate/District Coordination Officer and copy of Computerized National Identity Card.
c) One latest Passport size photograph ( Both for Male and Female candidates ) attested by at least a Govt. officer of BS-16 or above who should give his/her full name and designation and affix his/her rubber stamp and signatures to be pasted on the application at the proper place.
d) Experience Certificate on the prescribed form PPSC-4 attached with the application form, must be obtained from the President High Court Bar Association/District Bar Association/Sub-Division Bar Association duly countersigned and affixing rubber stamps of the District and Sessions Judge concerned (in original) showing date of membership.
e) Punjab Bar Council's up to date/valid registration certificate showing the date of
enrolment.
2. Incomplete, wrongly filled in and unsigned applications will be rejected summarily.
3. Candidates must submit their applications complete in all respect duly supported with the
required certificates.
4. All qualifications and conditions of eligibility must have been completed on or before the closing date of submission of applications.
5. Attested photocopies of all the relevant documents must be attached with the application form. However, the original certificates will be produced by the candidates at the time of Psychological test and Interview.
6. Candidates must carefully read and follow "Instructions to Candidates" attached with the application form for filling the application. However, candidates must complete all the requirements mentioned in this advertisement even though these may not be mentioned in the application forms.

2. In case large numbers of applications are received for post(s), short-listing of the eligible candidates will be done in any of the following methods:
a. Evaluation of the academic record.
b. Written test related to the job/qualification or general ability.
c. Combination of the above two methods.
3. Experience certificate of service rendered on ad hoc / current charge/acting charge basis must be issued by the appointing authority.
4. Fax applications from in-country candidates, will not be accepted.
5. Down loaded application forms from our website will also be acceptable.
6. Note: In case of change/deletion/addition in any column of the prescribed application form, the candidate would be liable to the rejection of his candidature.
7. IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates will be admitted to the written examination / test provisionally at their own risk subject to their being found eligible in all respects.
