Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Tuesday presided over a meeting of PhD scholars of Faculty of Education to take their inputs regarding their problems.

Lahore: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Tuesday presided over a meeting of PhD scholars of Faculty of Education to take their inputs regarding their problems.

PhD scholars pointed out some problems and the VC took immediate notice/action in some cases and for some other problems he directed to present them in the meeting of Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) for discussion. However, generally the VC and PhD scholars showed their satisfaction. They appreciated the VC's special efforts for the solution to their problems.

Earlier, the VC presented a comparative study report about the ratio of PhD faculty, students in different varsities of the world and also academic and research budget of the advanced countries.

A PhD promotion programme has been continued in the PU and meetings for the solution to PhD students' problems are a part of this programme.

Under the same programme, the PU VC earlier called meetings of non-PhD teachers of all the faculties and urged them to take admission in PhD programmes and offered his all-out cooperation in this regard.
